| Parma Plast was established in 1978 by Dipl.ing.
Gunnar Parmann. The main activity was directed at development of plastic related products
and production related processes. An example is the development of "The Rieber
Sealing System" and the "Powerlock" sealing ring for main water supplies
and sewage tubes made of PVC. These products based on Gunner Parmanns patented processes
are recognised word wide (Re. Forsheda).
The recognition from these projects lead to development contracts for a broad range of plastic industry. Tailor made products was developed as well as production processes for the manufacturing of thermoplastics and fibre reinforced thermoset plastic. Parma Plast has since then developed knowledge, skills and practical experience in a broad range of applied plastic production both for civil and military applications. Our customers are industry in Norway as well as industry abroad. |

| 1993 : Extruding of "seismic hoses" (streamer skin) with internal stress-members for the German Navy. | 1997 : Extrusion of multilayer tubes for oilfields in the North Sea. | 2000 : Parma Plast are today a manufacturer of extruded products fully adapted the customers need. |
| From the start in 1978 when our focus was development of production technology for external extruding companies word wide, a decision was taken in 1991 to focus on our in-house extruding activities. The change of business plan lead to restructuring and founding of Parma Plast AS (limited liability company). The new business plan included manufacturing of extruded profiles, hoses, tubes, bolts and coating of cores as the main activity. Our company takes the idea on to development and into the completed product. We can also deliver product support and when feasible participate in project teams with our customers for establishing of manufacturing processes where extruded products etc. are incorporated. | ||
